Course Description

Imagine trying to launch a product or promote a service. How do you decide who it's for, what to offer, and how to stand out? Marketing 1 helps you answer those questions.

This introductory course is designed for all first-semester business students, whether your focus is marketing, human resources, accounting, finance, entrepreneurship, or supply chain. You will explore how organizations understand customer needs, gather insights, and make strategic decisions that create value.
Through real-world examples and practical learning, you will explore the marketing process and strategy, the external environment, marketing planning and research, buyer behaviour and targeting, and the famous 4 Ps of marketing (product, price, place, and promotion).
By the end of the course, you will have a clear understanding of how marketing creates value and builds meaningful connections with customers. You will be prepared to think strategically, contribute to business objectives, and apply marketing concepts in a meaningful way. No matter where your career takes you.
